COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS: FACE COVERING REQUIRED
Extra Infection Control Precautions In Place
As always, our operating protocols go above and beyond what the state & federal agencies mandate. We are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of your family, our team, and our community at large, as we care for your children in these unprecedented times.
Here are a few necessary changes we have implemented until we make it to the other side. There are many more measures we are taking–such as installing sneeze guards in our check-in/check-out areas and air purifier with HEPA 13 filter in each room and hallway–to protect every person that comes to our office.
Patients will be pre-screened for COVID-related symptoms.
We are limiting the number of patients that we schedule and are staggering appointments. This will minimize the number of people in the office at the same time to maintain social distancing among patients and to give us time to thoroughly disinfect between patients.
Please wait in your car until we are ready. Call us @ 281-947-6111 when you arrive and we will let you know when you can bring your child in.
Only the child with an appointment and ONE parent/legal guardian will be allowed to accompany them. Anyone else will be asked to wait outside the office.
All accompanying adults must wear a mask or face covering. We do NOT have enough masks to provide these, so it is imperative that you arrive at the office wearing your own, or you will not be allowed to enter the office. (Remember mask wearing in public is recommended by national and local health authorities!)
We ask patients age 2 and older to attempt to wear a mask or face covering. We understand it may not stay on them, however, if possible, please have your child, age 2 and older, try to wear a mask for safety.
We will take you and your child’s temperature upon arrival.
All toys, superhero capes, reading materials, and other hard-to-clean accessory items have been removed so please bring your child’s iPad or favorite toy with them.
Our certified therapy dog Buddy Astro will not be at the office until further notice. (The stubborn guy wouldn’t wear PPE or keep social distance!)
We understand if some of you aren’t yet feeling ready to come see us at this time; that’s okay! Everyone’s comfort level is different. Please stay safe and give us a call when you are more comfortable.
If you have an appointment and wish to reschedule, we ask you to notify us ahead of time (at least 48 hours). Our availability is more limited than normal, so this will allow someone else’s child to receive the care that they need.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our new safety guidelines. We have missed y’all and are looking forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Dr. Kwak and the League City Pediatric Dentistry Team
